Teachers Training Programme

The number of private schools in NWFP is 2780. In most of these schools un-trained teachers have been employed. No database is available. In-spite of Comprehensive enactment under the title of “Establishment of Private Institutions of ordinance" no systematic teacher training programme for private schools exists. Commercial interests of management of private schools is also a great hurdle in imparting scientific training. EEF is in no position to enforce provisions of law. The matte is being taken up through Schools and Literacy Department.

In the summar vacation (July-August 06) a training programme for private schools were launched, during which 396 male and 581 female teachers from 365 private schools in 7 district were trained, the detail is as below:
